Gyparaki Dakaki is produced in Assi Gonia, a mountain village in the Chania region of Crete. Since 1998, the Gyparaki family has been producing traditional Cretan baked goods there with the utmost care and dedication.
These small, crunchy rusks with PGI Cretan Graviera cheese and sun-dried tomatoes are the most delicious and light snack for any time of day. They are kneaded using only extra virgin olive oil, with no preservatives.
Production is carried out in the traditional way. Gyparaki selects the best ingredients from the Cretan land. The dough is kneaded slowly, shaped by hand, and baked in-house. This allows the aromas and fragrances to fully develop.
Dakaki is the traditional Cretan dried bread and the ideal accompaniment for many Mediterranean dishes. It is excellent as a base for creative appetizers or simply enjoyed on its own as a snack.
Classically, Dakaki is topped with fresh tomatoes and feta cheese and can be finished with a high-quality olive oil.
