No. The values show analytical differences. They do not indicate by themselves which olive oil is sensory-wise or overall the best.
Is Early Harvest a prerequisite for the EU Health Claim?
No. The decisive factors are the legally specified amounts of hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives per 20 g of olive oil.
Are 250 mg of total polyphenols per kg automatically sufficient for the EU claim?
No. Total polyphenols must not be automatically equated with the relevant hydroxytyrosol derivatives.
